Details: I am selling my ´84 Porsche 944. This has been a fantastic car for me, but do to having too many vehicles, this one is getting posted for sale. I purchased it last year (2011) after having it sit for 10+ years. As a result the car only has around 88k miles on it. I went through and did a bunch of routine maintenance that had been neglected. The things I did include:New timing belt w/ rollersNew balance shaft belt w/ rollersNew oil cooler seals and gasketsNew batteryNew air filter (K&N)New hood shocksNew fuel filters (both the in tank and in line)Sent the injectors off to Deatsch Werks to have them professionally cleaned and rebuiltNew distributor cap and rotorNew Bosch spark plug wiresNew spark plugsNew shifter (bushings were loose)New JVC HD Radio w/ Aux inputNew snow tires on phone dial wheels (pictured)New clutch master cylinderNew clutch slave cylinderReplaced ALL fluids (brake/clutch, oil, coolant, windshield washer)All of the parts I put on are Porsche OEM parts except the battery, air filter, snow tires, and radio. I put a few thousand miles on it since I did everything and it has been flawless for me. The worst mileage I´ve gotten is 21mpg, the best is near 26mpg. I put it together planning to keep it until it was completely dead. However, I just became eligible for a company vehicle, so I don´t need it anymore. The car is in good shape overall, but not great. The paint on the hood is terrible, but the metal is still good. The paint on the roof is faded pretty bad too. Most of the interior is in great condition for the age of the vehicle. The dash pad does have some cracks and a couple gauges don´t work (clock and fuel level). The car is fun to drive so I haven´t concerned myself too much with the aesthetic stuff. I do have the original black wheels that were on the car too. I was planning on putting summer tires on those wheels since I like them better than the phone dials. I´d like to get as close to $4000 as possible with everything included. I´m open to offers and am willing to let it go for slightly less given the right deal. Cash only, no trades please.
