Details: Up for sale is a well designed and prepared early Porsche 911 Drivers Education (DE), Autocross and race car. From its inception this car was set-up to be a durable and competitive car. This car started life as a short wheel based Porsche 912. Car was professionally stripped and dipped. During the course of the rebuilding phase the previous owner decided to convert the car to 1986 Carrera specifications, including converting the front nose to a short hood configuration and adding steel SC/Carrera flares in the rear. Car was then converted from a short wheel base (SWB) to a long wheel base (LWB). A custom well designed roll cage was then built to meet all sanctions specification, i.e. Porsche Club of America (PCA), Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and etc with gusseting throughout for strength. Cage goes through front and rear bulk head and tied in to front and rear suspension points and B-pillar for rigidity. All bolt on body pieces were removed and replaced with lightweight fiberglass. Front and rear bumpers are IROC one piece units. Rear and side glass has been removed and replaced with lexan. The front windshield is the standard DOT glass. Other features are a removable steering wheel and Kirkey aluminum racing seats. This car is a turn key operation and needs nothing except for an enthusiastic driver. I have lots of additional parts that can be made available, e.g. extra set of Fuchs 16x7 and 16x9, duck tail, megaphones and etc. I also have a 24´ enclosed Haulmark trailer with lots of upgrades that can be made available. This car is a blast to drive. It has not seen any wheel to wheel combat or had any off road excursions. The car was built as a DE car for training purposes and has more than satisfied my needs. Typically I run in the Red and Black DE run groups with Zone 2 PCA clubs and the car has been very competitive against much newer and more powerful cars. I have competed very successfully in a couple of local PCA autocross events in the F prepared and modified class. My goal in building this car was to make it durable and as light as possible. I have been getting 25MPG with it and it runs great. Yes, it has all the ailments of a classic Porsche such as the A/C does not work, compressor is stuck, but the clutch will engage. This has been my 4th 944, 2 new 2 used. Time for me to move to a Boxster or Cayman or just buy a more practical car. We have 3 sets of wheels to discus; standard dials 15´, twists 17´ and Cups 17´ all tires are just about gone. The standard dials come with the machine. When a couple of weeks have gone by I will reshod the dials with 215/60/15s, Leaning towards Yokos. Details: !981 Porsche 911 Widebody with less than 100,000 miles. I traded for this from the last owner who had it for 12 years. Everything works including the AC and clock. Has a $2,000 stereo in it, 18´ Rims that are less than a year old and cost over $2,500. Runs great, has great compression and is very tight. Interior is veryy, very good for a 30 year old car with no rips, cracks or tears. It´s a very decent gloss white with black interior. Details: ***The car has a stuck starter and must be towed away by the buyer.***I have a 1987 Porsche 944S that I´m interested in selling. The car has been my daily driver for 7 years and has about 122k miles, 34k of which are mine. It´s never been a maintenance-free car, but it´s always been fun and owning one has been a really valuable experience. The major issues have been taken care of; new clutch, water pump, timing belt, alternator etc... The bulk of the work was done by an experienced porsche mechanic before I moved away and assumed all responsibility. The car has some cosmetic issues. The paint is not in the best shape, but it still manages to get compliments. The windshield is cracked. The car has no AC; I installed a Lindsey Racing AC Delete bracket a few years ago. The car´s original radio was replaced before I owned it, so the first time that work was done that involved disconnecting the battery, the radio thought it was stolen and required a security code, which neither I nor the previous owner had. That said, the car has no radio head unit, but the speakers are all still in place. If you have any questions please email me. I can be reached by the email listed above. I´ll probably need a few days´ notice before I can make the car available for viewing.
