Details: This is a Laser 917 kit car loosely based on the Porsche 917. The kit has everything needed to finish as far as I can tell, less some cosmetic pieces. It´s built on a Super Beetle Chassis. I installed new floors and brakes from shoes to master including the lines. The car runs and drives, except the brakes need to be bled first. The lights are all there, but the wiring needs to be put together which is pretty simple on these kits. This is a really cool fun project that could easily be completed by the spring and I doubt you will ever see another on the road. Also it has functioning Gulwing doors with new hydraulics.. Details: 1995 Porsche 968 Turbo CabrioletI built this car about 4 years ago and converted it to a turbo patterned after the few European 968 turbos cars made by Porsche. I used all Porsche parts except for the custom intake manifold. I built it to drive, not to race. The exhaust manifold is part 968/944. Wiring harness and computer is 968 with a custom chip from dyno testing. Stock 968s have 200 RWHP. This car was tested at 280 RWHP on a Mustang Dyno.
