Details: This is a 1988 Porsche 924S 5 spd that runs & drives but has weak clutch pressure. Perhaps it needs a new clutch slave cylinder or just a proper bleeding of the hyrdaulic clutch system. The motor & the transmission work fine. The vehicle overall could use a restoration. It was driven regularly a couple years ago but then the fluid leaked out of the clutch master cylinder, so that was replaced with a new one, but maybe the hydraulic clutch system just didn´t get bled right. On Monday March 19 2012 it had to get out of the garage it´s been parked in, as the garage floor is being redone for a few weeks, so it was able to very carefully drive eight blocks to the gas station & back & park on the street without damaging the clutch disc. Bought it 3 years ago down in Texas & drove it back. Drove it to the South Dakota border a couple times. It should probably be towed so as to avoid wear to the clutch disc due to the weak hyrdaulic clutch system pressure. It has current July 2012 MN tabs. It has some dents. The odometer doesn´t work so mileage is inaccurate. It will be sold as is. It is located in southwest Minneapolis, MN. The price is $1690 cash. Details: Clean title in hand, 88 Porsche 924 s: most desired year to own (fastest and last year produced).Model Facts: In 1988, the 924S´ final year of production, power increased to 160 bhp (119 kW; 162 PS) matching that of the previous year´s Le Mans spec cars and the base model 944. This was achieved using advanced pistons which raised the S´ compression ratio from 9.7:1 to 10.2:1. This made the 924S faster than the base 944 due to its lighter weight and more aerodynamic body. Only 2190 produced with production ending in September 1988.The good: brand new Bosch fuel pump, fuel filter, in tank filter with fresh Fuel injectors and gaskets.No leaks or burning of Oil (only ~53K miles).Tires 90% tread.Excellent Gas mileage while having fun.The Bad: Alternator went out last fall so I parked the car for winter. I went to troubleshoot the alternator this spring, checked the oil, It looked good and clean so I started her up, ran great, let It run a minute and turned off the car. I came back to the car a week later and noticed the antifreeze is low, checked the oil and it is now a brownish green and the level of oil was a little higher this time (so I did not run the car). I suspect Antifreeze got Into the oil.
