Details: I am selling my ´71 911 Targa. I got this car a few years ago with the intention of restoring it with my dad (we have done a couple). I then moved to Fort Worth, TX for work and now live in Austin, TX (car is covered in my parent´s garage in Minden, LA). It has become obvious that we will never be able to get around to restoring this gem with me living 7 hours away. This is one of the cars that put Porsche on the map and it needs to be back on the road turning heads! This car will need work done to it. I want to be clear that this is a restoration project and the car isn´t running. It will need some engine work done and probably some electrical. The body and interior are in great shape and should only require light attention (no rust!). It does have the original rounded back glass with defroster so that will save you $2,000 and one heck of a headache! It also has the original, and hard to find, Fuchs rims which will save you another $2,000. Once restored, they go for $20k low end, $35k top end. This car is currently Bahia Red but its Colour Code is for the very rare Gold Metallic (8810). This color was natorious for flaking due to a clear coat issue from the factory so there are very few that remained original. I would highly recommend having it repainted to it´s original color.
