I´ve used it as my daily driver at times and have taken it on trips spanning 1-2 hrs with total confidence. I´ve had it for a few years, put some time and money into fixing it, and now need the money and have no more time. I´ll be as detailed as possible with the description.I am not the original owner, but have detailed repair and mechanical records dating back to the original purchase. The owners were meticulous with documentation. The car is clean inside and out. You will be extremely impressed with the interior as I was when I bought it -- that was a main reason I bought this one. It has Porsche fitted seat covers and I´ve never removed them, so i don´t know what the seats are like underneath -- however they´re comfortable and clean (and sharp looking). The car has a built in alarm that works and is key-operated.The sunroof electrical works fine and the roof is removable -- sweet ride in the summer with the top off.Here are the new things that I´ve had done to the car in the past 4 yrs. I bought the car in 2008 with 123k miles and so i´ve only put about 11k on it in 4 yrs. It has:New tiresNew paintNew batteryNew starterNew Clutch Master and Slave cylinder and fluidRear BrakesAfter-market stereo & Cd playerRegular oil changes and maintenenceOriginal Porsche 944 manualsGarage Kept and hardly driven in rain (never snow)Before I owned it, records show that it has had relpaced: clutch, radiator, steering rack, and engine mountsExtra Parts that come with sale:I have new struts for the front hood --haven´t had time to install -- the old ones don´t hold the hood up anymoreI have a new thermostat as well -- I will try to get to install it if I can or else you can take that too.Extra door handle-lock assemblyI have an Extra computer box as well that came with it when I bought the car -- never used it Also a bunch of switches and light bulbs will be included.YOU CAN DRIVE THIS CAR HOME WITH FULL CONFIDENCE and use it as a daily driver. HOWEVER, this is a car that will need attention as things come and go. This is not a show car, although it is in excellent condition. HOWEVER a little TLC will go a long way.Here are some of the probelms:Driver side door lock is sticky -- you can prob just take the door panel off and grease the parts -- that´s what I did with the passenger door and it works great.Horn does not work -- easy replacementNo AC -- blower works but not cold -- maybe just a recharge will do -- I never have used it in 4 yrs and bought it without the AC working. Not a priority for me, but you can decideTrunk automatic relase motor works and electrical works, but is not attached to the trunk door -- hatch opens by key no problem, but you can attach a cable for pop-release from driver-seat.Left Front Headlight low-beam does not work -- high beams work fine, but not the low on the one sideDashboard is crackedWasher Fluid pump does not work -- wipers are fine, just no fluid -- might be a pump problemCar runs hot after idling for a long time in traffic or something -- no temp problems while driving, but after long periods sitting, i usually turn on the heat to keep the temp regulated. i think it´s a thermostat problem, hence I have the new part and need to install. However, not sure exactly -- hasn´t been a huge problem for me, never overheats, just runs hot.Runs and drives well, but you´ll have to see for yourself. I don´t know too much about engine-trans issues and you´ll have to be the judge. No tapping, smoking, starting problems. All is good.Most of the problems are minor, cosmetic, and don´t affect the actual value or performance of the car.feel free to call or text or email anytime. This is a salvage title vehicle. it was a hurricane katrina claim, brand new back in 2004 on a porsche dealership lot in texas with only 15 miles on it, all verifiable by Carfax. the truck was fine with no issues the last 47,000 miles that were put on it.
