Next I added a top of the line stainless performance exhaust for great sound and a few extra Hp, a set of 911 front brake calipers and rotors, performance rear rotors and pads and new tires. This car has the performance of a 911 and handles even better. Leather interior, CD player, power top windows and locks, climate control and all the goodies. The convertible top is in excellent condition and I´m putting a new window in Saturday. Details: 1981 Porsche 928, odo shows 128k, the back story on this is that it had a shifter issue and was parked, it looks like someone has been under the dash and in the wiring for what reason i have no idea, maybe a stereo? the harness, ecu etc is all there. when you turn the key on every thing comes on but when you try to start it you just get a click under the dash, nothing under the hood. interior is all there but will need some attention to be nice, despite the bad paint the body is pretty straight. it does have some kind of aftermarket front bumper (imo, yuck) does not look to have any rust issues. the shifter assy is missing but the rod that it hooks to seems to go thru all the gears correctly. this car does have a complete matching set of real bbs rs 3pc wheels on it, they need some refinishing but do not appear to be beat up! Details: 1977 Porsche 911 Carrera Wide body. 73K original miles (to the best of my knowledge). 5 speed manual, of course. White Exterior with tan leather interior.Runs and shifts great, but does leak some oil. Looks great with some minor rock chips, but the paint is in overall decent condition. I am not a Porsche purist, just a sports car enthusiast, so I will not be able to answer detailed questions related to the engine, transmission, car history, etc.This is not a show quality car, but a really fun and great looking ride.I have owned this car for almost two years, and have driven it probably less than 25 times during my ownership. It is just taking space in my garage, and I feel like this car needs to be with someone who appreciates it and drives it more.The Good:Looks awesome. People gawk at it everywhere it goes. Drives great. Still pretty fast for a late 70s model.Suspension is low and TIGHT. Like driving a 150 MPH go-kart. LOLShifts greatInterior in good condition for a 35 year old car.Really nice Sound system, Alpine head unit with iPod Interface, MB Quart speakers, subwoofers behind the front seats, and large power amp in the trunk.Custom wheels. Apparently these are super expensive. They were on the car when I bought it. Some curb rash on one of the wheels.Engine exhaust sound is nice. You know this is a fast car, just by the sound of the engineTires are in decent shape.The Bad:Oil leak. I have not had this checked out, as I decided to not invest any more money into this car, and just sell it. I just add oil occasionally, to make sure it runs good.Has sunroof, but I cannot seem to find the mechanism to open it. Most likely it was covered when the headliner was replaced. Not sure.Does not have AC/Heat. Looks like previous owner felt this was just excessive weight, so it was removed at some point in time. I usually just drove the car in the spring and fall, so it did not bother me at all. Just rolled down the windows and enjoyed the sound of speed, and the blur of the landscape.Body does have some paint chips and paint blemishes, but overall looks great.This car has been garaged since I have owned it. Never abused under my care. Driven on weekends and on the occasional nice, cool sunny day.This is a unique specimen of a real 1977 classic. Asking $16,000 or best reasonable offer.
