Details: Lookin to possible sell the 944. First off 1983 was the first year this car was sold in the USA as well made; there was a few made in 1982. It also has the first engine that Porsche made, is a high output 4 cylinder that was considered one of the best engines that year. The car is balance thoughout so handles curves very well . In the last ten years the engine has all gaskets replaced, a new curtch with less then 10,000 miles, new air conditioner, has a strut brace, larger diameter exhaust system with header that has been ceramically coated, larger radiator with a thermostat that will start the cooling fan 25 degrees sooner, and a new passenger side power window motor. I do have a new front air dam that has been painted black ($1200) that I have not put on as of now, did find the radio that goes with this year Porsche and had it rebuilt. Things needing work: the passenger side window has an open wire somewhere so it will not close or open (can jump it so it will work), the hail strom last April did not help it so the dings will need work, age has some of the interior needing work, will need tires soon, at the present time I will be cleaning out the throttle body due to the first time cleaning I have stopped up something (the engine idles at 1800 instead of 900), Have all of the paperwork. So just exploring and seeing who would be interested. Tuned it up a couple of years ago and drove to Charleston, NC, and back with AC on and averaged 28 mpg. Up to ad last April the Porsche had been garage kept, the garage was destroy by the storm so it has stayed outdoors and with the last few storms the Porsche is dirty. Details: I´m looking for something that´s manual, not fwd, fun to drive and ideally convertible......good miata would be perfect.....For trade I have a nice Ravenna Green 1973 Porsche 914....Here´s the good, the bad and the ugly. 1.8 engine with original fuel injection. Some old accident damage that has been repaired and doing fine. Other then that body is nearly perfect with a little rust on the ´hell hole´. Interior is nearly perfect (all electricals work including original radio works, no cracks on dash and only 2 small tears on seams on seats)......New brakes & ss lines, new trans fluid, clutch is very strong, Wheels on the car are original Rivieras and I also have a set of 5 2.0 Fuchs that can be thrown in on the right deal.
