It is just taking space in my garage, and I feel like this car needs to be with someone who appreciates it and drives it more.The Good:Looks awesome. People gawk at it everywhere it goes. Drives great. Still pretty fast for a late 70s model.Suspension is low and TIGHT. Like driving a 150 MPH go-kart. LOLShifts greatInterior in good condition for a 35 year old car.Really nice Sound system, Alpine head unit with iPod Interface, MB Quart speakers, subwoofers behind the front seats, and large power amp in the trunk.Custom wheels. Apparently these are super expensive. They were on the car when I bought it. Some curb rash on one of the wheels.Engine exhaust sound is nice. You know this is a fast car, just by the sound of the engineTires are in decent shape.The Bad:Oil leak. I have not had this checked out, as I decided to not invest any more money into this car, and just sell it. I just add oil occasionally, to make sure it runs good.Has sunroof, but I cannot seem to find the mechanism to open it. Most likely it was covered when the headliner was replaced. Not sure.Does not have AC/Heat. Looks like previous owner felt this was just excessive weight, so it was removed at some point in time. I usually just drove the car in the spring and fall, so it did not bother me at all. Just rolled down the windows and enjoyed the sound of speed, and the blur of the landscape.Body does have some paint chips and paint blemishes, but overall looks great.This car has been garaged since I have owned it. Never abused under my care. Driven on weekends and on the occasional nice, cool sunny day.This is a unique specimen of a real 1977 classic. Asking $16,000 or best reasonable offer. Details: For Sale 1999 Porsche 911Price: $18,000About 125,000 miles (66,000 miles on newly replaced engine and transmission)Non-smoker. I have the maintenance records from the previous owner. Previous owner replaced engine and transmission at 59,000 miles around 2003 so the mileage on newly replaced engine and transmission is actually 66,000 miles.I also have the full maintenance records for my ownership in the last four years. I personally spent well over $12,000 in the last four years (~ $6,000 in the last year alone) in maintenance using the Porsche dealership or recognized Porsche specialist in the region. No doubt many more miles and years left in this car. Recently done maintenance worth $6,000 include oil change, coolant tank replacement, belts replaced, full transmission service, new front tires, alignment and some suspension work, etc., As it stands, tires and brakes are good. DMV tags good till 2013, and also passed state safety -- sticker good till 2013. The best car I ever drove period! Simply put, the car is addictive and once you drive a Porsche 911 you will know what I mean. Two reasons for selling my car at this time: three car seats cannot fit properly in this car; and selling now so I can justify buying a newer turbo model in few years. Finally, this car is an automatic, but it also has a tiptronics mode; meaning that you can actually shift up and down in gears but ´clutching´ is automatically done for you. If you like manuals, yes I´ve driven one too, tiptronics is fairly close in sense that you are more engaged with the car. I became a believer myself in few months; nothing like down shifting into 3rd gear in the freeway to quickly accelerate from 55 to XX mph. If you prefer, you can drive under full automatic mode like any other automatic car.Do the research and then take a look in person. Please no low ball offers. Thanks for reading.
